How to use:

The ideal tension of the ARAKNA thread is from 1% to 1.5% of its length, that is, for a line of 100 meters, stretch between 1 and 1.5 meters. To perform the tension, the pulley and frog system must be used.

A standard pallet turned upside down, attaching to a frame, for example, allows you to unravel up to 4 spools at a time. The coils should be at the bottom of the pallet and the threads should be underneath.

MUY IMPORTANTE: Desenrollar 2 a 3 metros de hilo ARAKNA antes de cortar, para evitar que el hilo vuelva a la bobina y provoque un cruce e impedir así al hilo de desliarse.

Tension of Arakna threads

The ideal tension of the ARAKNA yarns in espalier is between 1% and 1.5% of the yarn length.

Example: A row of 120 meters: Voltage between 1.20m (1%) and 1.80m (1.5%)

To perform this tension: use a trócola and a frog (gag)

Regulación de la trócola

fichas-dossier_Arakna-4 Arakna

1) Open the trócola and measure 1% between these two points of the segment (here is 1,20m)

2) Make a knot on the rope in this place (the top)

3) Tirar el hilo con la mano derecha hasta obtener una resistencia y a continuación, colocarlo dentro de las pletinas.

4) Tighten the frog and at the same time pull on the rope to ensure grip.

5) Tension the ARAKNA thread until the knot of the inner rope of the trocho is in contact with the two pulleys.

6) Tie the ARAKNA thread to the head post.
